Join us on August 2nd at the Swamp II in Frederic for our 4th annual horseshoe tournament! Play begins at 1pm. 2 players per team, limited to a total of 8 teams. Cupcakes, banana bread, Rice Krispie treats, and cookies. That's the usual fare at a fundraiser bake sale. But on Saturday, July 12th at Glen's Market in Grayling, you can experience our first-ever "Not Your Average Bake Sale," featuring scrumptious delights created by a Pastry Chef with all proceeds benefitting our shelter! Organizers of the event are donating their time and talents to our cause, so please come and enjoy one (or more) of their special delectable treats. (Forget about your diet for just one day!)
Six new sixty-second PSAs spotlighting pet adoption are airing on three radio stations: Y-100 (100.3 FM/WGRY); AM 1230 WGRY; and Decades 101 (101.1 FM). The PSAs were written and produced locally, and help create awareness of pet adoption as a 'first option' as opposed to purchasing a pet from a store or a breeder.
